Rapid Energy team at the Growing Business Awards 2025.

As we step into 2026, we are taking the opportunity to reflect on what has been one of Rapid Energy’s most productive and transformative years so far.

Across project delivery, fleet expansion, team development and industry recognition, 2025 marked a significant step forward for the business.

Supporting More Sectors

Throughout the year, we provided temporary heating and cooling hire solutions to a wider range of sectors than ever before. This included hospitals, district heating networks, construction projects, manufacturing facilities and commercial buildings.

Our work helped keep inpatients warm during essential maintenance, supported facility managers through emergency repairs and planned outages, and enabled construction sites to remain on schedule.

Demand for dependable, fast-response heating and cooling solutions continues to grow, and our team consistently delivers when required.

Standout Projects From the Year

Several key installations highlighted the scale, urgency and diversity of the projects we undertook across the UK. Among them:

The O2 – Temporary Boiler Installation

Heating and hot water were at risk during essential repairs. We installed a 600kW temporary boiler, keeping the O2’s shopping area fully operational. See the full project details.

Anaerobic Digestion Plant – Temporary Chiller Hire

A chiller failure put renewable energy production at risk. We delivered and installed a 50kW temporary chiller within 24 hours, restoring stable operation. Read more.

UK Prison – Hot Water Supply Solution

A failing boiler threatened hot water for 500+ inmates. We installed a secure temporary system using six electric boilers, ensuring an uninterrupted hot water supply. Find out more.

These projects demonstrated our ability to respond quickly, design site-specific solutions and maintain essential services for customers operating in complex, time-sensitive environments.

Expanding Our Hire Fleet

To support increasing demand nationwide, we invested heavily in expanding our fleet of temporary heating and cooling equipment.

New boilers, heaters, chillers and portable cooling units were added throughout the year, strengthening our capacity to respond rapidly to customers nationwide.

Two of the latest additions include:

These units deliver high performance within a compact footprint, supporting installations where space is limited and reliability is essential.

Awards, Accreditations and Industry Recognition

Rapid Energy received several forms of external recognition in 2025.

We were listed in the FEBE Growth 100 for the second consecutive year and won B2B Business of the Year: Turnover under £15m at the 2025 Growing Business Awards. Both achievements reflect our continued growth and commitment to operational excellence.

Our Junior Engineer, Victoria Hooper, was awarded Rising Star at the HVR Awards – a testament to her development and contribution during the year. We also continued to support the industry as a sponsor of the PFM Awards 2025.

Alongside award recognition, we achieved two important certifications:

Neutral Carbon Zone Gold Certification

We secured Gold status from NCZ, confirming 100% carbon offset across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, aligned with ISO 14064.

Cyber Essentials Certification

Accredited by IASME, this confirms our compliance with recognised UK government cyber security standards.

Both milestones support our long-term commitment to sustainability, security and responsible operations.

A Growing Team and Investment in Training

One of the most significant shifts over the year was the expansion of our team. As demand for heating and cooling hire services continues to rise, we have strengthened every department, including engineering, sales, operations, administration and customer support.

Here are some of the people we welcomed in 2025:

To support this growing workforce, we launched a new training facility. This is a dedicated space for structured technical development, standardised installation training and ongoing upskilling for engineers and apprentices. It reflects our commitment to developing talent internally and ensuring consistent, high-quality service across all projects.

Celebrating the Year Together

To close the financial year, the team gathered at Soho Farmhouse for a day of connection and reflection. The event began with coffee and an overview of the year’s achievements, followed by an inspiring talk from James Cracknell OBE on resilience and teamwork.

A relaxed outdoor lunch and a light team-building challenge provided time to unwind and strengthen relationships across departments. It was a valuable opportunity to celebrate our progress and look ahead to the year to come.

Looking Ahead to 2026

With an expanded fleet, a larger team and rising demand for temporary heating and cooling hire, Rapid Energy enters 2026 in a strong position. We will continue to recruit across engineering, operations, sales and administration as the business scales further.

Our focus remains the same: delivering fast, dependable and expertly engineered heating and cooling solutions that keep businesses running smoothly when it matters most.
