Saving Strictly Come Dancing
Objective: When a theatre in Reading experienced a complete failure of its HVAC system just 24 hours before a live performance of Strictly Come Dancing, they turned to Rapid Energy for an urgent solution. With a 1,400-person audience expected, it was essential that temperatures be brought under control immediately.
Solution: Within just four hours of receiving the call, our team conducted an onsite survey and specified a tailored solution: two 160kW packaged chillers to restore cooling capacity. The equipment was delivered and installed within 24 hours, and by the time the show began, temperatures were brought down from 26°C to 20°C, ensuring comfort for the performers and the audience.
