London Luxury Hotel: Seamless Heating During Boiler Replacement
Challenge:
A prestigious 800-room hotel in central London with luxury suites, restaurants, conference facilities, and common areas needed to upgrade its old boiler system without disrupting service to guests. The hotel, located in Kensington, had limited outdoor space, so it required a compact temporary boiler solution.
Our Solution:
We delivered a 2MW packaged boiler, installed with a full fuel supply, 2MW plate heater exchangers, temporary pipework and remote monitoring via BMS. The temporary boiler was positioned at the rear of the hotel, maintaining a 20m distance to comply with clean air regulations. Despite winter conditions and limited space, we managed:

Challenge:
On a Saturday morning, we received an urgent call from the general manager of an 83-bedroom hotel in Swindon. The hotel’s boilers had failed, threatening closure during peak occupancy. The main challenge was securing a transport company capable of arranging a HIAB delivery over the weekend.
Our Solution:
We responded immediately, deploying a 300kW packaged boiler, fuel tank, and all necessary hoses and connections within hours. Upon arrival, the team had to drain the flow and return header to the nearest isolation valves. Temporary hoses connected the temporary boiler to the client’s system. Despite the short notice:
- The hotel had hot water restored that same day
- Our team handled everything – delivery, installation, and commissioning
- We took over fuel management during the hire to avoid any future disruptions

An M&E client needed a temporary boiler for a 50-bed hotel renovation in Buckinghamshire, following repeated plant failures that delayed drying progress. Due to scaffolding and ongoing construction, a temporary boiler solution would have to be positioned away from the building to allow space for external works.

After a site survey, we deployed a 300kW packaged boiler with 120m of hose and a fuel supply, adapting to space constraints and providing heat through the hotel’s heat exchanger.
