Our people are at the heart of everything we do. Their expertise, dedication, and drive enable us to deliver fast, dependable, and expertly engineered temperature control hire solutions across the UK. Today, we’re proud to share that one of our brightest young team members, Victoria Hooper, has been named a finalist in two categories at the HVR Awards 2025: Rising Star and HVAC Woman of the Year.
What are the HVR Awards?
The HVR Awards (Heating & Ventilating Review Awards) celebrate excellence, innovation, and outstanding achievements within the HVAC industry. These awards recognise businesses and individuals who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Being named a finalist is a major honour and a clear sign of exceptional performance.
This year, Victoria is being recognised in two distinct categories:
- Rising Star: Awarded to a young professional or new entrant to the industry who has made a game-changing impact, exceeding expectations and proving to be a vital member of their team.
- HVAC Woman of the Year: Celebrating a woman who has made an exceptional contribution to her employer’s success, standing out through dedication, innovation, and a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Victoria’s Journey and Impact
Victoria Hooper joined Rapid Energy just eight months ago as a junior engineer. In that short time, she’s become an indispensable part of our operations, respected by her peers, trusted by our clients, and admired across the industry for her technical ability, professionalism, and attitude.
Her journey into engineering began with inspiration close to home – her father’s career in the HVAC industry. After initially exploring other paths, Victoria followed her passion for hands-on, technical work, which ultimately led her to Rapid Energy. From day one, she’s brought an infectious enthusiasm, a hunger to learn, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Victoria plays a hands-on role in all aspects of our service delivery: from testing and prepping kit in the depot to installing and commissioning systems on-site. Whether she’s landing a temporary boiler, managing fittings, or liaising directly with clients, her work is always marked by precision and a can-do approach. Standout Project: Engineering at Sea
One of Victoria’s most notable achievements to date was her work on a challenging offshore project aboard a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel near the Orkney Islands. Over four days, she lived and worked onboard under extreme weather conditions and tight safety protocols, helping to install and integrate a 1.3 MW boiler system.
For someone early in their career, her performance was nothing short of exceptional. She demonstrated impressive technical skills, resilience, and composure in one of the most complex environments we operate in, proving she’s not just learning the ropes but confidently taking the lead.

Client Praise and Industry Recognition
Victoria’s impact isn’t just felt within our team; it’s echoed in glowing client feedback. Here’s what some of them have had to say:
“Just awesome. Victoria went well above and beyond to make sure we got the right product with superfast delivery.”
“Brilliant customer service.”
“5-star performance backed up with a first-class team, led by Vic.”
These testimonials speak to her attention to detail, reliability, and ability to build meaningful relationships, qualities that make her stand out in any setting.

In a traditionally male-dominated industry, Victoria is helping to shape a more inclusive future. Through her work ethic, capability, and character, she’s already become a role model for others, which is why we’d appreciate your support in helping Victoria take home the win.
