Meet Kat, Rapid Energy’s Marketing Executive, who joined the team six months ago. Her role is wide-ranging: one moment she’s drafting blogs or scheduling social posts, the next she’s planning events, designing brochures, or exploiting data.
Marketing at Rapid Energy isn’t just about sharing updates – it’s about communicating the pivotal role we play in keeping businesses operational with temporary heating and cooling solutions. It’s about showcasing the expertise, responsiveness, and reliability our clients trust us for.
Here’s a close look at one of Kat’s days, although no two are ever quite the same.
8:22 AM – Morning Kick-Off
Kat arrives at the office with eight minutes to spare, just in time to get her morning cup of coffee. As she settles in, she opens her laptop and checks her inbox. Emails can bring anything from urgent requests for brochure updates to feedback on the latest website content. Today, it’s a mix of action points and follow-ups, which she works through before turning to bigger projects.

9:00 AM – Brainstorming
With her inbox under control, Kat switches into planning mode. She reviews her content calendar for the month ahead and starts brainstorming new ideas for both social media and the website. She pulls up performance analytics to see which posts have resonated most with audiences, spotting opportunities to build on what’s working. Research plays a big part here too, whether it’s keeping an eye on industry trends or finding fresh ways to present technical topics in an engaging way.

10:30 AM – Planning a Testimonial
Next up, Kat logs into a video call with one of Rapid Energy’s engineers. The aim is to gather a testimonial for an upcoming blog and social media feature. These calls are one of her favourite parts of the job as they give her a chance to hear directly from colleagues on the front line, working with clients and solving real challenges. Afterwards, she begins turning those notes into a blog draft that will be published on the website.

12:30 PM – Lunchtime
Around half twelve, Kat takes her lunch break and heads out for a stroll with her colleagues. Sometimes they walk to Costa, where she treats herself to a coffee frappe before enjoying her lunch. It’s a chance to catch up with the team, get some fresh air, and recharge for the afternoon ahead.

1:30 PM – Blog Writing
The afternoon begins with writing. Kat opens up WordPress and starts drafting a new blog explaining how cooling towers work. Her challenge is to take a technical subject and make it simple, informative, and engaging for the website audience. She breaks the information down into clear sections, adding diagrams and images where possible to make the blog accessible. Meanwhile, her colleagues Sami and Julie are hard at work beside her, each focused on their own projects, a great reminder that every role contributes to keeping Rapid Energy moving forward.

3:00 PM – Walking One-to-One
Instead of sitting at a desk, Kat and her manager, Sami, the CMO, head outside for their monthly one-to-one meeting. Kat reflects on the successes and challenges of the previous month, while Sami provides feedback and guidance. It’s a simple but effective way of keeping communication flowing.

3:45 PM – Brochure Designing
Back at her desk, Kat opens Canva to improve an outdated client brochure. She carefully updates the equipment specifications, adjusts layouts, and ensures the branding is sharp and professional. It’s detailed work, but also one of the more creative aspects of her role, seeing how design can help communicate Rapid Energy’s solutions clearly and compellingly.

4:30 PM – Upskilling
As the day winds down, Kat carves out time for professional development. Today she’s focusing on Google Analytics, refreshing her knowledge on tracking website performance and user behaviour. These insights are invaluable for making data-driven decisions about future campaigns.

5 PM – Wrapping Up the Day
By 5:00 PM, Kat has ticked off a variety of tasks: from creative writing to design work, planning to professional learning. It’s a fast-paced, varied role, and that’s exactly what she loves about it.
At Rapid Energy, the culture is supportive and collaborative, where creativity and problem-solving are truly valued. For Kat, it’s not just about marketing – it’s about being part of a team that helps keep businesses running smoothly when it matters most.
