Rapid Energy received a call from one of our valued cooling contractors requesting a chiller hire solution for a Data Centre in Birmingham.
The contractor was asked to provide additional cooling for a data centre that currently had temperamental chillers and needed a contingency chiller to be installed to give them reassurance that their data centre wouldn’t overheat if one of the existing chillers failed.
A member of our technical team conducted a site visit to review the requirements and it was determined that one of our 650KW chillers would be sufficient to provide additional critical cooling for this project.
Working closely with the cooling contractor we carried out installation of the temporary chiller to the existing system and installed remote monitoring on our chiller so we can monitor flow and return temperatures. We were also asked to carry out flow tests the following day to give the end user reassurance of the equipment we had supplied.
The customer was pleased with Rapid Energy’s service and support throughout the installation process. The end user is now relieved that the data centre has enough cooling throughout the summer to prevent a catastrophic failure which would cost thousands in downtime.
