Rapid Energy was contacted by an established Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Contractor based in the North West. They urgently required a solution to address the sudden loss of domestic hot water at a major commercial project site in Liverpool.
1 x 300kW Slimline Low NOx Boiler
1 x Plate Heat Exchanger Package (PHE)
40 Metres of 2” LPHW hose and Ancillaries
20 Metres of 2” Gas Hose
10 Metres of 2” HWS Hose
1ph 16amp Commando Power Lead
Upon receiving the request, our technical team swiftly mobilised to conduct an on-site assessment the same morning. This thorough inspection aimed to pinpoint the precise requirements of the site.
Following the identification of the non functioning direct-fired domestic hot water heaters, Rapid Energy determined that the optimal solution entailed deploying a standalone Low NOx Slimline Boiler along with a HWS PHE package. Carefully considering site conditions, the boiler was strategically positioned, while the PHE was installed in the existing plant room adjacent to the buffer vessels to optimise instantaneous heat transfer.
Collaborating closely with the contractor and their client, agreement was reached on the pipework route and access logistics, facilitating the installation process within a remarkable 24-hour turnaround from order receipt.
Given the high-profile and fully operational nature of the site, operational schedules were meticulously taken into account to ensure seamless service continuity without any disruption.
The generation of over 5000 l/hr of HWS at 60 Deg C is provided to all secondary outlets 24/7. This is the first project we have had the pleasure of supporting with this customer and anticipate a healthy relationship going forward.
