Recently, we took this to the next level by sending two of our engineers on an exclusive, week-long burner training trip to Italy.
A World-Class Training Experience
The training took place at the Baltur facility in Bologna, Italy, renowned for its cutting-edge technology and industry expertise. Hosted by EOGB, this training focused on Baltur’s full burner range, covering everything from small-scale units (100kW) to large industrial systems (5MW). The engineers worked closely with expert trainers, gaining in-depth knowledge of the latest burner technologies, including:
- Low NOx technology
- Electrical self-commissioning burners
- Two-stage & modulating burner models
- Commissioning, burner matching and fuel system setup (including gas, oil and dual fuel)
- Fault-finding and troubleshooting
The course was a balance of theory and hands-on learning, providing real-world problem-solving opportunities. Our engineers were tasked with troubleshooting and working through complex scenarios, gaining valuable experience they could immediately apply in the field.
More Than Just Training
The technical knowledge and skills gained provided a career-changing experience. As one of our engineers put it:

Our engineers also embraced some extra-curricular activities, enjoying a well-deserved siesta and savoring a few Italian espressos between training sessions. After all, work-life balance is essential for the well-being of all our employees.
