One of our national facility maintenance customers urgently contacted Rapid Energy regarding a leading online distributor facing cold temperature issues in their distribution warehouse. They required immediate, effective heating solutions for their warehouse operatives due to the inadequacy of their existing heating system.
After a thorough site visit by a member of our sales team to assess the needs, close collaboration with the on-site facilities team ensued. Given the limited space due to constant vehicle movement at the distribution centre and the available power supply, we worked together to devise the most fitting solution.
It was concluded that a single 150KW indirect diesel heater would sufficiently elevate temperatures in the specific area requiring heating. However, due to an exterior canopy, strategic positioning beyond this area was necessary, followed by ducting into the building to prevent any staff exposure to diesel heater fumes.
Post-installation, we connected the thermostat from the heater into the building, granting the site manager complete internal control of the heating system. Throughout the hire period, Rapid Energy has been managing fuel requirements diligently, monitoring daily consumption rates and ensuring timely fuel deliveries. This ensures uninterrupted heating services at the distribution centre site.
