That’s how Ash Down, one of our newest Sales Executives, describes his first three months at Rapid Energy.

What attracted you to join Rapid Energy?

“I was looking for a place where I could develop my sales experience further and Rapid Energy looked like a fast growing company with a friendly team that could really challenge me to be my best self.”

Can you describe your role as a Sales Executive at Rapid Energy?

“As a sales executive I answer enquiries on all of our portable heating and cooling equipment, manage existing accounts, as well trying to bring in new business through outbound prospecting which involves emailing and calling industries that could benefit from our services.”

How would you describe the company culture at Rapid Energy?

“We all have a good laugh and can be ourselves with one another which is quite rare to find in a workplace nowadays. It’s nice to be a part of a team that you can hang with outside of a work setting as well. We recently went bowling for a colleague’s birthday and that was great fun!”

What kind of training have you received since joining?

“I’ve had extensive training on all our portable heating and cooling equipment which has helped improve my product knowledge. I’ve also learned different negotiations skills and objection handling which has helped me in what is a really challenging role.”

How do you see your career progressing here?

“I think as my experience and confidence grow within this internal role I’ll be able to build a stronger rapport with all our customers and I hope to become a very successful salesperson at Rapid Energy!”

What’s been a highlight of your time at Rapid Energy so far?

“I think booking in my first meeting and getting my first sale has to be the best highlight for me! It gave me a real sense of achievement and helped spur me on to keep chasing that feeling.”

What advice would you give to someone thinking of joining Rapid Energy?

“Be yourself! This place embraces collaboration and allows you to give your own perspective. We grow from learning from one another here and there’s no one way to do sales, so it helps give you different avenues of doing things here!”
